LASD studio, based in San Diego (California) and Madrid (Spain), delivers garden design, landscape architecture, and urban design projects internationally. We design per specific construction budget with high-level precision. Our landscape design ideas are distinguished with high-quality details, attention to the specific epoch of architecture style, climate zone, sustainability issues, and of course, the wishes of our clients. Always adapting and evolving, our buildings strive to craft an individual response to site, budget and, of course, client – so there’s no such thing as a signature building, and no such thing as two similar clients. C with Hickok Cole Architects lead a tour of the buildings and explains how the programmatic needs unique to artists impacted their final designs. Combined with rigorous attention to detail, ABA’s buildings have proved to satisfy our client’s expectations and positively impact the urban realm. We pay great attention to our material choices and the influence of light in architecture. The fronts are uniform, monochromatic, devoid of decorations and overly sweeping gestures, with the main reference to light and movement as a basic motif. Three skylights, 300mm square, are set in trapezoidal steel cones in the roof slab bringing in diffused light into the studio.

India is a massive country with a long, complex history, and its architectural heritage reflects this varied past. Designed by architect Stefano Boeri, Bosco Verticale, or Vertical Forest, is a mixed-use complex that opened in 2014. Located in the Porta Nuova neighborhood, the project includes a striking pair of luxury residential towers with lushly planted terraces. Their consultancy services cover all aspects of architecture, from project inception to implementation. We provide expertise across all aspects of the design and building process, and welcome all projects no matter their size. By collaborating closely with our clients throughout the design process, we are better able to inspire them with the finished product. The slightly cooler months are between October and March. The exhibition will last for three months.

Awards program is also the largest celebration of architecture and building products, with more than 400 jurors and hundreds of thousands of public votes helping to recognize the world’s best architecture each year. In addition to this, Chennai has a constant southern breeze at velocities of around 1.5 m/s almost all year round. It shades and directs the cool sea breeze through top-hung openings at the roof level into the studio. Two motorized wind catchers are placed close to the roof on the southern side with flaps that open out perpendicular to the wall and help draw in the ambient breeze into the interiors.
